This company was started by Sharon Cardone four years ago when she began selling imported Italian leather pocketbooks from Florence and other places in Europe at truly fantastic prices! The Equestrian line of Italian handtooled engraved bags with scenes of galloping horses is still represented in the Bag Ladies store by a few examples of this beautiful contribution to the world of handbags that Sharon has brought to New Hope at her store and now to the world by the Internet! When Sharon initially started BagLadies in 1998 she searched for and found wonderful treasures to be used to accessorise, beautify, and completely satisfy even the most discriminating shopper! She began by bringing her finds to only the best open-air markets and craft fairs and had an enthustastic reception with a steadily increasing number of happy customers. After developing a relationship with her customers by providing good quality goods at very fair prices Sharon's reputation for having 'great stuff' was established in an even more permanent manner by her decision to open a store on the Delaware river at the quaint and colorful community of New Hope; putting her store right on Main street in this Pennsylvanian town.

Now her customers and friends can come and shop in a warm and attractive place with three large rooms filled with beautiful things from all over the world and an atmosphere created by an unusual decor and ornamentation of a warm and helpful staff that is knowledgeable and friendly all year long.
Once again, it is Sharon and the rest of the staff at BagLadies that have a major concern to bring local artists and craftsmen and craftswomen together with the informed consumer that is the hallmark of this store-with-a-heart and price to match! Now that we have been able to have this website up and running due to the tireless efforts of durwood@comcast.net and his companions at Sixcom we can bring you at-home online shopping at it's best. Shop for unique accessories from local artisans and all around the world. The private label premier skin care and cosmetic products of Stella Maris 'the Star of the Sea' now being used at a local cosmetology school are now availible along with a men's care line of shaving gels, aftershave splash and face lotion with lip balm and the natural soothing ingredient of aloe in every one!
